Abacode CEO Michael Ferris will attend the Real Estate Roundtable, sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security on January 24-25, 2017 in Washington, DC. This “State of the Industry” event has the following description:
Our meeting takes place just four days after the Presidential Inauguration, with Republicans in control of both the House and Senate in the new 115th Congress. Now more than ever, policy issues affecting commercial real estate such as tax reform, liquidity, regulatory overreach, marketplace fairness, and immigration are all coming to the forefront in Washington. With policy changes approaching quickly, our meeting discussions will feature leading policymakers, political analysts, industry leaders and distinguished guests discussing compelling public policy issues.
On the second day of the Real Estate Roundtable, Michael Ferris will brief the Homeland Security Task Force Meeting on the state of cybersecurity in 2017. Prominent congressmen including Representative Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), and Senators Charles E. Schumer (D-NY), John Thune (R-SD), and Richard Burr (R-NC) will attend the Roundtable. The overall program schedule may be found here and the Homeland Security Task Force meeting schedule here.
Michael Ferris will also travel with a small group to Capitol Hill to meet with some Representatives at the Dirksen Senate Building. This group will further discuss the important cybersecurity issues faced by the United States.
